L3VNI (Layer 3 VXLAN Network Identifier)

A pure L3 routing approach for VXLAN where all traffic is routed directly at the switch.

A pure L3 routing approach for VXLAN where all traffic is routed directly at the switch. The resulting overlay network is an IP network with no L2 capability, including broadcast. It is the preferred choice for AI backend networks as it eliminates the broadcast traffic and disruptions inherent to L2VNI modes on backend networks. It also has scalability advantages because of the possibility of route summarization.
